At Emezzions Care, we provide Short breaks for disabled children and young people which allow them to take part in many activities non-disabled children take for granted.

Our breaks are built on the needs of the child and their family and are designed to enable young people to try new things, creative, have fun, make friends, and gain independence. The Short breaks range from a few hours to a day, evening, overnight stay, or weekend, and take place within one of our Children’s Homes.

Our staff recognizes each person as an individual with a range of unique personal interests and aspirations. We develop a personalized support plan with you, so you can receive your care in the community where you live. People with learning disabilities are no exception and we provide care in the community to support people with learning disabilities to live ordinary and fulfilling lives.

What we do – We can visit you once or twice a week or provide up to 24-hour care. Our care assistants have practical experience in meeting a wide range of complex care and support the needs of people receiving care in the community. Our staff are fully trained to respond to different communication needs, autistic spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, and sensory impairment.

Emezzions Care offers high quality supported accommodation for 16 and 17-year-olds, designed to prepare them for independent living. Our experienced team delivers personalized support for an individual taken into account their identity and background. Our accommodation provides a safe and comfortable environment, operating a robust on-call system with 24-hour key worker mentors available. Each young person has their own agreed support plan based on the hours of care they require.

We offer a comfortable, homely environment where, with the right care and dedicated support, every child and young person can fulfil their potential. Every child and young person is individual and unique in their needs, and our approach at Emezzions is to plan and care for them. We take time to explore every issue that affects an individual and provide a nurturing environment in which their needs are met. We endeavour to understand the individual physical and emotional needs of every child and their families before recommending a new home. We work closely with families, NHS professionals and all those involved directly in care provisions for children and young people with learning or physical disabilities, learning difficulties, complex health needs, autism and challenging behaviour.

Our Handover services enable a secure and safe handover of children from Residential adult to Non Residential adult. Our fully trained member of staff with help and support in the handover of the child from one to the other. This is to ensure that the parties do not meet during this service and also ensure that there is no breach of a court order if one is in place.

This is a community-based family support packages of care and it includes working with the professional network and families to support families who need additional support and guidance. It involves routines monitoring, engagement in local services and offering practical sessions with the management of independent living skills and parenting capacity.

We can provide community-based activities including swimming, bowling, visiting the park for mainstream and special educational needs children.
